     Alfred Manly Offutt was born on November 24, 1856 at Georgetown, Scott County, KY, USA.5,6,7,8,9,10,11,1 He was listed in the 1870 census at Georgetown Precinct, Georgetown, Scott County, KY, USA, in the household of Alfred D. Offutt and Sophronia Offutt on July 29, 1870.12 Alfred Manly Offutt was graduated in 1875 at Georgetown College, Georgetown, Scott County, KY, USA.13 He was listed in the 1880 census at Georgetown Precinct West Division, Scott County, KY, USA, in the household of Alfred D. Offutt and Sophronia Offutt on June 19, 1880.14 Alfred Manly Offutt Came to this area in 1900, bought a farm. Alfred made his living during the depression by making wine and liquor, selling fruit and vegetables. In the 1930's the Feds came in and talked to Alfred about a tax stamp. In 1938 the Federal Marshals came in and blew up the barn, house, trees, and plowed all the trees. They took the property, and it is now the sewage treatment plant. in 1900 at Corbin, Whitley County, KY, USA. He married Sarah Day, daughter of James Henderson Harris and Catherine Elizabeth Champlin, on January 24, 1907 at Corbin, Whitley County, KY, USA; 2nd marriage.15,16,1,17 Alfred Manly Offutt and Sarah Offutt appeared in the Thirteenth Federal Census of April 19, 1910 at 1st Ward, Corbin, Knox County, KY, USA.18 Alfred Manly Offutt died on March 14, 1948 at Corbin, Knox County, KY, USA, at age 91.19,20,1 He was buried on March 16, 1948 at Pine Hill Cemetery, Corbin, Knox County, KY, USA.1,21

As of November 22, 2020, Alfred Manly Offutt was also known as Alfred Marshall Offutt.22 He and Alfred M. Offutt Probably the same person, would explain the A. M. Offutt to Sarah Day being the second marriage for the groom. So far no divorce record for Alfred M. Offutt to Mrs. Barry Taylor, who I believe to be Marion (Nee Lemon) Taylor, who died in 1914 in Chicago and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery in KY on November 22, 2020.
