Offutt, 83, of Barnesville, a retired farmer, died Tuesday at his home after a long illness. Mr. Offutt was a native of Barnesville and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Barnesville. He leaves his wife Mrs. Lucille Clements Offutt; two sons L. Jerome Offutt of Barnesville and Clarence C. Offutt Jr. of Martinsburg W. Va.; two daughters, Mrs. Helen B. Tyson of Leola Pa. and Mrs. Mary O. Butts of Rockville; one brother John B. Offutt of Frederick; three sisters, Mrs. Claudia Stout of Gaithersburg; Mrs. Loretta Burland of New Haven Conn. and Sister M. Sultice Offutt of Visitation Convent in Baltimore; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Hilton Funeral Home in Barnesville where the Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Thursday. Services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Shrine in Barnesville.
